Over 1000 people collaborated to bring Olympic Art to life in the making of ‘LA Rising Together

One aspect of the USPCC’s outreach involves engaging local communities through galleries, schools and public institutions in the marriage of sport and art.  Driven by the USPCC Board Member known as of the Olympic Picasso, Roald Bradstock, a two-time Olympic javelin thrower, Bradstock set numerous world-records before creating a new genre of art–The Art of Olympism–that applies the elements of athletic excellence to the creation of indelible and inspiring paintings.

Through Roald’s vision, art fans, patrons and students can personally contribute to the creation of paintings and pieces he renders specifically to be completed through the Olympic principle of community participation.

As part of the new Genius of Sport exhibit at US Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, Bradstock created “Pierre’s Path,” a new painting, #9 in his Olympic Rings series, that is intended to be a centerpiece of the exhibit as it travels across the US on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
